Irvington High School offers summer school for the following math courses: Algebra 1A/1B, Algebra 1, Discovering Geometry, Geometry, Honors Geometry, Algebra 2/Trig, and Honors Algebra 2/Trig. All other math courses must be retaken during the school year.
Ohlone Community College: schedule of courses
How Ohlone's math courses* align with IHS's math courses:
- Geometry at Ohlone does not align with California State Standards and therefore will not give you credit at IHS.
- Algebra 2 at Ohlone combined with Trigonometry will give you credit for Algebra 2/Trig at IHS.
- PreCalculus at Ohlone combined with Trigonometry will give you credit for PreCalculus at IHS.
*It is strongly recommended that you do NOT take Ohlone math courses in order to get ahead in math at Irvington. If you want to get ahead, take the course at a state or university college.
