Which Graphing Calculator Should I Choose?

A graphing calculator is a learning tool designed to help students visualize and better understand concepts in math and science.

Check out this link to determine which TI graphing calculator is right for you.

This year, an overwhelming majority of students in PreCalculus are using either a TI-83 or TI-84, which will be the primary teaching tool we use in class.

If you are interested in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) career, you will probably want to purchase a TI-NSpire with TouchPad because it has a detachable faceplate that is interchangeable with a TI-84 faceplace. If you are considering a different career, then you will be fine in purchasing (or buying a used, or given a hand-me-down) TI-83 or TI-84. If you are interested in programming and bleeding edge technology, and learning how to do things a bit on yoru own, then go for the TI-NSpire CX.
